I recall discussing how several powerful progressives/democratic party congress persons and other important people with the goods on certain right wing/republicans have died in small airplane accidents when this occurred. JFK jr, Hale Boggs, Begich, the Republican that ran the server in Chattanooga, etc...

I do think Wellstone's flight was very likely sabotaged because with his death we lost the Senate majority, if I recall correctly.

(1,383 posts)My interest in politics started with Jabba. Sometimes, on my commute to work I have flashbacks of those moments in my life. I have a yell and shake my head. Haha.
I do remember Wellstone and I remember conservatives all up-in-arms of the political nature of the service.
