When the media called the "election" for tRump I described my experience

like being beaten, kicked repeatedly in the gut, badly beaten and then there's a knock at the door and it's the authorities coming to notify me of the unexpected, sudden death of a loved one, in this case, the loved one is my country, America, and all that I knew and loved about America. Then to add insult to injury, nobody will investigate the murder.

This is how I have described my experience after 11/9. Normally I am an articulate person but the shock of this travesty has left me in a place where I struggle to find my words. For at least 3 weeks and even now there is a pain in my solar plexus area like I was brutally beaten. Literally, this has been my gut reaction.

Anyone else? Anyone relate?

To me this is worse than 9/11. Much worse because this is like a poison inside the body. pangaia Dec 2016 #3

I am still not processing at par. It's hard to wrap my mind around what has taken place in the USA. The shock, confusion, fear, anger, uncertainty, disgust, feeling unsafe and like I don't belong in the country I was born and raised in, worried about my fellow citizens especially the vulnerable, and more...

I won't let myself be overwhelmed by fear and loathing. So I'm past what you experienced. I'm moving on guided by my strength of will.

and the sad realization that America ain't exactly what I thought it was. But... that doesn't mean it can't be. Two steps forward, one step back. We WILL get there.

We survived Reagan & 2 Bushes. Bush43 gave us Obama.
Trump will give us another Obama like president.
In the meanwhile, do the best you can and take good care.
