The extra hard death of Carrie Fisher.

2016' s collection of talented souls has been relentless and we still have 5 days to go. Carrie Fisher however is especially hard for those of us who knew her through her writing. She had brilliantly documented addictions which were themselves addictive. And above all they were filled with with wit. She shared her struggles and presented them as a gift filled with humor and language you could eat with a spoon which became a respite in a challenging world.
She was known as a "script doctor" as well. I hoped once reading she was stabilized that she would recover and offer up more wisdom. I happen to have seen her appearance on the Graham Norton Show just a week before her fateful flight. She wasn't quite herself. She was sort of in a loop of telling older stories. I even said to my hubby that she didn't seem herself. Then the apparent traumatic trek back from London - which is always a slog - was just too much for her it would seem.
Strangely though I don't feel so sad. (Then again the election has me feeling very depressed already). Seems to me all these talented people we lost are most definitely in a better place.

So wrong. DH is a Star Wars freak and very upset. Her daughter is only 24. May the Force be with her.
