CF: "Don't all these ships have artificial gravity? There are no zero-g scenes in this script."

GL: "Ummm, we cut those for budget? But we still want 'authentic'!"

CF: "'Authentic, riiiiight."

I was in a Hilton Hotel executive lounge drinking wine and had to get up and leave because I was a blubbering mess of tears. I had heard she was stricken on a flight from London to LA and worried. When I saw that she didn't survive, I was a mess.

R.I.P. Princess Lea. God, 2016 will you just end already please. You've taken so many greats this year, and George Michael just yesterday. Fuck. Us. Glenn Fry was the first on Jan 18th. Fuck.

It isn't as if I didn't expect this - you can get your hopes up but I have enough of a medical back ground to have figured out this wouldn't end well. But that makes it no less painful.

It has just been a relentless year. David Bowie and Alan Rickman, at the beginning, Prince, my beloved Leon Russell, and now Carrie Fisher, with so many, in between.

I thought that after all of my losses in 2015, I would have time to heal. This year has been one stunning blow, right after another. I feel absolutely drained.

Ms. Fisher was known to be a top flight "script doctor;" someone you called in when the shooting script went sideways in mid-production.

But if she had gone without breathing past that small window of opportunity, she may have already suffered significant brain damage.

It is so heartbreaking to think of poor Debbie Reynolds. I'm glad she still has her son and no doubt all of Hollywood will rally around her, in support.
