They grew up, renounced their family who were still in the white power movement and moved on. I'm afraid they're out.

Looks like Trump is stuck with Nugent, Charlie Daniels and Lee Greenwood.

Reformed Nazi Twin Singers Renounce Racism; Credit Marijuana

It’s only mid-afternoon, but I’m confident this is the strangest story that’s going to cross my desk all day. A pair of twins who caused a media frenzy a few years ago by presenting themselves as the cute faces of white supremacist racism have renounced their former hatred, saying that medical marijuana has helped them see the error of their ways.

Lamb and Lynx Gaede, whose band Prussian Blue was popular back in 2005 among those inclined to like such things, ascribed their unsavory past to having been “home schooled country bumpkins” heavily influenced by their domineering white supremacist mother, reports Neurobonkers.

They claim they aren't white nationalists anymore and pretty liberal. I wonder what their definition of liberal is. When your starting point is as a neo Nazi, being a run of the mill racist can be liberal to them.

They were very young and pushed/forced by their parents. I take people how they are not how they were raised. My father, and every man in his family, was an alcoholic. None of his children drink. I would hate to have his alcoholism and his rat street ways to be my label.

Not everyone blindly follow their upbringing. Some of us can't wait to escape.

an unfair question. Anything to the left of a neo-Nazi is considered liberal to them. Even Bush and McCain were too liberal for some people. I am simply questioning what their definition of liberal is.

Here: When your starting point is as a neo Nazi, being a run of the mill racist can be liberal to them.

I feel we further disenfranchise people who may be growing towards our ideals by continuing to point fingers at them. I liked your link. The link has quotes from the kids about them moving, leaving their original community, starting public school and their growing into their own thought process.

Let's not throw stones at those running over to our side. My opinion, yours may vary.

To ending racism. People can and do change, but especially young people.

Purely anecdotal: I've seen a lot of conservative students become liberal, but very rarely the other way around. And it's more and more as time goes by.

Identity politics will become a thing of the past, not because it's bad, but because identity based on bullshit (skin tone, genitalia, etc.) are becoming passé. It's amazing to watch. I just hope all you/us old farts are around to watch the younger millennials (and whatever we're calling the next generation) come into their own. Their living demonstrations of Hope are what let me sleep at night.

When we see progress, especially in persons of note, we need to sit back and see where they land. To further mock them without any reason does not bode well for us.
