I remember this from junior high school. It actually caused emotionally disturbed people to attempt suicide! They pulled it off the air after only a couple months, as I recall.

Groucho Marx's "If You Think the Country's Bad Off Now Just Wait 'Til I Get Through With It" from the movie, Duck Soup - about a totally unqualified man who ends up in charge of a country, gives offices to unqualified candidates, starts a war over a perceived insult (and justifies fighting because he's already paid a month's rent on the battlefield).
