Every worker in the U.S. needs a 'union' like the Fraternal Order of Police.
What a sick fucking joke.
How about telling them wear the fucking camera or your ass is fired !!!
I am so sick of the idiotic penal system and justice system in this country.

(3,163 posts)Read your own words, "Every worker in the U.S. needs a 'union' like the Fraternal Order of Police."
The requirement comes from the police officer's union, so you are sick of public sector unions.
I was a member of the IBEW and the Steelworkers, so don't call me anti-union. I'm not, but public sector unions are a collaboration between elected officials and workers, and the party paying the wages (taxpayers) have no voice in the collective bargain. Different deal, and a deal that fundamentally does not work.

(13,101 posts)I am aware they are different than other unions.
Is it not the justice system that allows the Fraternal Order of Police to
exist and make up rules to protect them and harm others ???
I am sick of the penal system that overflows our prisons and jails and allows
police to get away with murder.
I am sick of the justice system that doesn't even know the definition of justice.
I hope that helps to clarify.

Anyone with a shred of common sense knows that video doesn't lie. Video is used across the world to teach and coach and improve processes. Video can help end he said/he said arguments over how situations are handled. Video could help rebuild trust in law enforcement and also expose those who should move on with their life's work.
It's like dashboard cameras that only come on when the lights do, but in this day and age of the DVR can't be rewound to see what someone actually did that initiated a traffic stop. What sense does that even make?
The unions fighting this have yet to make a compelling argument to me why cameras are a bad idea or how they somehow limit the effectiveness of a police officer or put their safety at risk.
