With the local conservatives I have started referring to Trump as "Putin's boy in DC."

When they got angry with the disrespect I observed that since they knew who I was talking about there is an obvious basis for the claim. They are free to prove that he is not a neo-Soviet stooge JUST LIKE they told me Obama was free to prove he was not a Kenyan-born muslim plot to destroy the country.

They chose to ignore these things and voted for him anyway because they believed that Hillary Clinton was the devil incarnate.

Their stupidity and prejudice helped get Putin's puppet elected.

Calling them Deplorables is actually being too nice and cordial. They're TRAITORS to this country, just like the man they helped into the highest office of the land.

As an American who loves her country with all of her heart, these TRAITORS disgust me.

We need to be figuring out how to get our economic message to the 65 million people that voted for someone other than HRC.

Calling them names and degrading them isn't going to covert them.

There is a very good post somewhere on this board correctly stating that not every Trump voter is a bigoted, homophobic, xenophobic racist.

I've seen a lot of posters here admit that they 'held their nose' and voted for HRC. I believe many of Trump's voters did the same thing.

Too many stores of people voting for Kerry and PBO twice and then pulling the lever for Trump for them to be traitors.

Let's cut back on the name-calling, demonizing, un-friending, and exclusion from family events and work on bringing those people back into the fold along with convincing non-voters to show up

This post sums it up better than I can

Do the voters who gave Hitler and his National Socialist party pluralities in the 1932 and 1933 German federal elections get a pass?

If the answer is no why do American voters who gave Trump his plurality get a pass?

Hard to bring people who believe that Mexicans are "criminals, rapists, and murderers" , blacks live in shitholes where you "can't walk without getting shot", Muslims should be barred from entering the United States and the ones who are already here should be surveiled, and that is okay to "grab women by the pussy" into the fold. Hell, I don't want to be in their fold and I doubt they want to be in mine.

Fri Dec 30, 2016, 05:32 PM

The real issue is that Trump won and will appoint Supreme Court justices who will remove governmental protection from those most in need of it. The real issue is that Trump will repeal the Affordable Care Act and leave twenty million Americans without health insurance. The real issue is that he has filled his Cabinet with racists, reactionaries, and reprobates.

The real issue is that hate crimes are mushrooming because Trump's racist, anti-semitic, Islamophobic, and homophobic devotees feel emboldened.

The real issue is that Trump will hurt the people in my life I care deeply about. His voters have stabbed the rest of us in the back. I am not going to give them a pass because they are American just as if I were a German I wouldn't have given a pass to my fellow Germans who voted for Hitler.

Those voters simply do not pay attention and now they've put people in place who threaten the very foundation of everything that made this country great.
