The private Florida resort owned by President-elect Donald Trump sold 800 tickets to a New Year's Eve party featuring an appearance by Trump and his family.
Sean Spicer, Trump’s incoming White House press secretary, said Friday on a conference call with reporters that the Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., sold 800 tickets to the "sold out" event, which will feature appearances by Trump, his wife Melania Trump, son Barron and actor Sylvester Stallone.
Trump's team did not say the cost of a ticket or of membership to Mar-a-Lago. Politico first reported on the event.
The members-only luxury resort throws annual holiday parties as well as gatherings for various special events.
