This is getting really weird.

The forum alleged an anonymous user invented Tuesday’s bombshell about Donald Trump and Russian prostitutes—and then passed it onto a Republican operative. But there’s a weak stream of proof.

However, do we know who runs the 4plebs site and if they have any desire to create fake archives to discredit the report if it is legit? How is security of the servers that run the applications.

I still have a feeling of possibly being handled/played though. i don't doubt for a second that Russia has information on Trump and that our intelligence agencies know this, but the fact we're in a propaganda war makes everything suspect.

Other journalists say they were offered the document BuzzFeed published last year, but chose not to run with it because they had no way of verifying the raw intel (and were somewhat distracted by certain emails being published, some of which were indeed falsified).

One Guardian journalist believes she may know the ex-MI6 operative who put the dossier together, and that if she's right, he's highly credible, which chimes with other reported opinions from the security services.

The dossier was mentioned in a Mother Jones piece published a day before a 4chan post referencing a “sex tape”. And the New York Times reported that the papers had been circulating among journalists since the fall of 2016.
