Trump's Bachelor/Miss USA "announcement" of SCOTUS nominee is degrading, grossly inappropriate

Trump is going to name his nominee in a reality show bit of performance "art," and as usual our media is running along happily with his circus freak show antics.

It is also a blatant and desperate attempt to distract the media and the public from the total shit-storm debacle of the Muslim ban. It is infuriating that once again our media lacks the spine to call out Trump on the manner of this "announcement" -- as though SCOTUS were a beauty pageant or other Trump-esque tacky reality show -- WHO WILL GET THE ROSE? WHO WILL BE VOTED OFF THE ISLAND? WHO WILL GET FIRED?

Trump is parading his potential nominee around DC (as they are both in DC today of course) like he's the star of the Bachelorette, testing the nominees for long-term compatibility. It is disgusting, and another indication that Trump and his operator Bannon treat our most sacred institutions like toys -- it's all playing dress-up to them.
