White House ices out CNN.

Politico:

The White House has refused to send its spokespeople or surrogates onto CNN shows, effectively icing out the network from on-air administration voices.

“We’re sending surrogates to places where we think it makes sense to promote our agenda,” said a White House official, acknowledging that CNN is not such a place, but adding that the ban is not permanent.

A CNN reporter, speaking on background, was more blunt: The White House is trying to punish the network and force down its ratings.

“They’re trying to cull CNN from the herd,” the reporter said.

Administration officials are still answering questions from CNN reporters. But administration officials including White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer and senior counselor Kellyanne Conway haven't appeared on the network's programming in recent weeks.

I watched that Trump guy, Steve Miller, yesterday on MSNBC. Boy, he stood there, looked around at all the others, while behaving, & talking like a mob hitman. Seriously! Perhaps the Russian mob.

Like Trump:

they whine,
they bully,
they lie,
they blame,
they point fingers,

Lately, I've been reading good things about Trapper, especially on Twitter. What time is his show on CNN? Who/what else is good to watch?

Really? I'll be right over!

If I'm near the TV at 3pm Pacific time, I now tune away to CNN, the Food Network, BBC America, the Weather Channel, or whatever it is. It WON'T be Greta Van Susteren. I won't watch her. On principle as well as on content, and more. Two-and-a-half days during her opening week, and I've seen enough. Buh-bye. I'm gone til she's gone. Same thing with Andrea Mitchell at 9am Pacific time. Buh-bye.

Then I said - "please tell your bosses - Dump Greta. She just doesn't belong there." He seemed less than enthusiastic, at that.

Too bad. I wanted to tell him anyway. So I did. He and everybody else at that network ought to be confronted with it from the viewers EVERYWHERE they go. I WANT that message to get back to the home office. And I hope mine wasn't the only one! I WANT him to go back to the network and find himself blurting - "sheesh, I sure got an earful about Greta Van Susteren. They are NOT happy out there."

concerned, they are a wolf in sheep clothing

The first network to report as breaking news that the "FBI had reopened the email investigation" was MSNBC. That was a LIE. For the next hour MSNBC then paraded every right wing politician across their screen to propagate that lie, before the other networks joined in the LIE.

Except for a couple of programs, MSNBC has some real credibility problems.

First we have Andrea Mitchell, who could never say a positive thing about Hillary, even if there was a positive story about here.

Anyone who saw the double standard interview of Matt Lauer, should have no doubt where MSNBC is coming from.

Of course there was sloppy Joe, and a whole other set of unforgettables, but perhaps the worst is Chuck Todd who does nothing to conceal his bias. Some of his best lines:

"Chuck Todd: Pointing out Republican lies isn't his job"

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/9/18/1239734/-Chuck-Todd-Pointing-out-Republican-lies-isn-t-his-job

or this latest pearl from Todd:

"Chuck Todd: Media knew how ‘hated’ Hillary was in heartland and we ‘underplayed’ it

http://www.rawstory.com/2017/01/chuck-todd-media-knew-how-hated-hillary-was-in-heartland-and-we-underplayed-it/

for Todd's wonderful insights he was given the job to host "Meet the Press"

Their recent hiring of Greta Van Susteren and Megan Kelly should leave no doubt exactly where MSNBC is coming from

I stopped watching MSNBC around July 2016, when they were reporting on Trump all day, every day. Trump - 24/7...a brief word about Hillary and then back to Trump 24/7.

When I got back around to watching, MSNBC they had Republic0n congress-critters on the show, and that hardly ever happened. And now they are trying to normalize these fast talking snake oil salesmen by putting republic0n host on MSNBC to please their NEW audience.

We should've had a clue when they had on 3 hours of Morning Joke every day, 5 days a week for fifteen hours. No other MSNBC host has that much time a week. I would have been pleased if that had been Keith Olbermann that had that many hours a week.

While FNC is available outside USA, it's a straight rebroadcast of the US version.
MSNBC is a US network. Outsiders can enjoy CNBC World with no MSNBC content.

I don't know if RT features WH spokesbodies on their electromagnetic emissions, and RT isn't available widely in US.

I don't see it to be a problem that the WH aren't having their "stars" being made available to CNN. There's lots of news in the world. CNN can beef up its international news. They can learn from the BBC - they launched BBC Persian TV, broadcasting to Iran on satellite. Trouble is they're not even allowed into the country let alone have access to the government or legally broadcast to the people. Yet people watch. That is true resistance TV there.

Besides this household is a BBC/CNN stronghold. Heck, we can't even get Fox News because Sling (how we get our cable tv channels) doesn't carry them.

I hope this is a move that will backfire.

If I were CNN, I'd report even harder on the lying shit-sacks and end every segment with "We asked for a WH representative to be present to respond to the report but they had no comment."

That'll spin him up.

I loathe the Trump surrogate they usually have. I dunno if he is dreadful or if it is just exhausting to have to lie for such extended periods of time.

But seriously, what is the point of even having a Trump surrogate on? They just lie and if that stops working, insult the other commentators. It's boring. Trump is getting boring, if we are honest. His random behavior is exhausting. It's like dealing with a small child, but one who isn't cute and will never grow out of their bad behavior.

and given the war Trump's waging against any journalist or media outlet that reports the truth about him, I can't say I'm too shocked. If CNN and other media outlets had covered Trump this accurately during the campaign, there likely wouldn't even be a President Trump.

Something along the lines of:

The Whitehouse is on record as only being willing to send spokespeople and surrogates to networks that, in their opinion, will "promote our agenda." Is your network content to act as such a tool for this administration?

I've already started watching more CNN than I have for years; this makes my decision even easier.

I am a young old woman who has relied on my intuition for picking out BS all my life. My grandmother had a little postcard she received from my uncle when he was in med school that read "If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bulls**t!"
Sixty years later, it has never been more appropriate to keep in mind. I have felt like CNN was trying to present an honest account of the current mayhem and obviously so since the major BS'ers are boycotting them! They should take this announcement as a huge victory and celebrate it!
