be in power.

Meanwhile, things have been working out pretty well with just eight justices.

The repugs can't just ram through garbage decisions anymore.

We should keep it just how it is.

that they think a post discouraging liberals will achieve anything.

They're a dying breed, and they know it. They may be in power now, but the arc of history is against them.

And they won't use the nuclear option. We have to stand firm, call their bluff and filibuster our asses off.

Call their bluff as they know if they get rid of the filibuster once they're out of power they won't be able to use it too.

Fuck them. They stole that nomination from Pres. Obama. We have to stand firm.

WE SHOULD NOT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT.

for what they did to President Obama and Merrick Garland.

These are games they started the day Obama was sworn in.

but any future nomination by a potential Democratic successor (thought to be Hillary Clinton).

So yes, it's a stolen seat. And it should remain vacant.

I said this in another post but I will say it again (with a bit added)

The Republicans blocked Obama's pick using that " he can not appoint a Supreme court Justice in his last year in office"
Democrats need to block all of Trumps picks saying " In Trumps first year in office he is in TRAINING so he has no right to pick a new Supreme court Justice."
and because he has never held a political office ever that training would have to go on for well forever!

Democrats must demand that Trump respect the constitution and renominate Garland.

As I explained here, anything else is a subversion of the Constitition. If Republicans are so serious about the intent of the Constition, let's see them respect it. Let's hear all the Democrats, and all the Republicans, demand that the Constition be respected, and Garland be renominated.

when the goppers wanted to prevent President Obama from making recess appointments, they stayed in 'pro-forma' session without a formal adjournment, with one member on the floor to gavel it open, close it, and leave every day. We have no such luxury in the Senate now...if they hold up the nominees that the orange turd is putting forward, the adjourn and let him make any of them into recess appointments, which would be in office until the end of the next session.
