1. I don't think I'd want to be cursed with the taint of Trump

for the rest of my career. Will Gorsuch, who is actually one of the least disreputable of the Trump appointees (at least he has experience relevant to his job, unlike most of the others) feel at least a little weird or embarrassed when Trump is impeached?

2. He is shameless for accepting the nomination; he will feel no shame, no remorse, no guilt.

We have to stop making excuses for these people. The "not as bad as" argument doesn't stop bad. The relative evil categorizations still mean evil.

3. It's hard for me to imagine accepting a position, even on the Supreme Court,

from someone as absolutely horrible as Trump. You'd have to sell your soul. I thought of a line from "A Man For All Seasons": "It profits a man nothing to give his soul for the whole world ... but for Wales?"
