The quotes were wholly fictitious, however. Politicops and its companion site Newslo describe their content as "hybrid news/satire," often running articles that begin with a factual paragraph before spinning off into no-holds-barred satire. In this case, the factual introduction pointed out, accurately, that Pat Robertson had addressed the controversy over Melania Trump's plagiarized RNC speech by observing on his TV show that she wore a "beautiful dress" and was "absolutely gorgeous" during her convention appearance:

http://www.snopes.com/pat-robertson-melania-nude-pics/

I found this on Crooks and Liars, though..

Pat Robertson Gets Creepy About Melania Trump's Looks

But then Robertson got creepy when he started discussing Mrs. Trump's appearance when he said, "We mentioned the language in that speech, although she was absolutely gorgeous and I think that's why they wanted to put her on. She had a beautiful dress and she's a lovely lady. Trump knows when he's got a winner."

At National Conventions, it's been established since 2000, for first ladies to speak at these conventions and has happened many times before in the past starting with Elanor Roosevelt, but Pat decided Melania was only asked to speak because of her beauty.

And boy, can Donald sure pick a winner!

Robertson didn't stop there when later in the show, while talking to political reporter David Brody he came back to being the creepy uncle.

Brody said that regardless of the plagiarism charges, "Melania Trump needs to get out on the stump. Melania Trump on the stump, I think they should use that actually."

Brody emphasized that she was "poised and articulate" and Trump needs help with women voters.

Pat jumped in again ogling her looks, "She's absolutely gorgeous cause she is a renowned model and Mr. Trump has a good eye for beauty."

Still, Pat Robertson doesn't come out smelling like a rose with his comments on Melania. "Donald can sure pick a winner" he said. Duh! Well I guess so Pat, it 's his third wife.

Anyway, the more Robertson throws himself behind the traitorous, womanizing, narcissistic, poor excuse for a public figure, Donald Trump, the more he'll have to explain to his flock when it all comes tumbling down. I'm eagerly awaiting that day.

Pat says enough over-the-top stupid shit on a daily basis that it's hard to separate parody from fact.

In fact, after the RW poutrage over Michelle on everything, the hypocrisy of them electing Pissolini, horrific as he is, and with the prospect of that woman as first lady, is fair game for this particular satire.

Still, I am relieved it's not true. I actually feel much better now! Thanks for clearing it up. Good night!
