If you have a parent or grandparent who was an Irish citizen, you can claim Irish citizenship.

That may be true for other countries.

Also, if you are Jewish and can trace your lineage back to Spain and the expulsion of Jews from Spain in 1942, you can claim Spanish citizenship.

4. Isn't it amazing that Thiel, is more than willing to help tRump* fuck up America...

...as long as he can jump in his G5 and wing on over to New Zealand to his "safe spot." And there is no doubt about it, the usual residency NZ residency requirement were set aside to fast track Thiel's NZ citizenship.

About 30,000 people apply for citizenship every year in New Zealand, where the population is less than five million, according to data from the country’s Internal Affairs Department. Only a handful — around one to two dozen a year — are approved for citizenship by the minister of internal affairs under “exceptional” circumstances, the data showed.

Mr. Thiel was one of those. In the application, he noted that he did not fulfill the residency requirements and said that he did not intend to live in the country if he secured citizenship.

We did have a good run for 240 years but the only thing constant is change.
Now to work on the money part. I liked America better before it got to be so "great". I am tired of "winning" already.

Super rich Americans buying land in New Zealand as 'bolthole' from apocalypse

Wealthy Americans buying property in New Zealand see the country as a "bolthole" in the event of a catastrophe, a Queenstown real estate executive says.

Bayleys Queenstown executive director Stacy Coburn says Silicon Valley bosses and US hedge fund managers are buying property in the South Island as a safe place to hide in the event of a major terror attack. ... "Queenstown is seen as a bolthole for the future if things do turn to the worse in the world," he said.

"Given what has been happening around the States, they want the ability to come down here and get away from all that. Some have touched on the fact they feel that something may happen and if it does happen, but hopefully it won't, they will be in a more stable environment without the same security fears.

The trend for wealthy Americans investing in Kiwi property as "apocalypse insurance" was investigated by the New Yorker magazine.* LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman told the US magazine that "New Zealand" has become a code word for apocalypse preparedness among Silicon Valley leaders.**

Ta-ta, suckers.

One wonders if members of the Trump family have proxies snapping up land for themselves. Wouldn't that be interesting?

With full rights including voting in Italian elections. While I do not qualify, I believe the cost is very modest.
