But that statement is just a dogpile of nonsensical self-centered blither-blather.
Get Trump the fuck out of any position that requires thinking or honesty.
What a hateful person.

(so, I suppose, kids can be arrested for trying to use it to pay for school lunches....)

There was one major skeptic, however: President-elect Donald Trump. Then in the throes of the primary election, Trump called the move “pure political correctness” and suggested moving Tubman to a lower denomination like the $2 bill.

“Andrew Jackson had a great history. I think it’s very rough when you take somebody off the bill,” Trump said last spring.

Like Ben Carson was taking him to Compton for some chicken and waffles. What kind of rube do you have to be to visualize that scenario and think it happened? It would be a good SNL sketch, though.

Welcome to our "little breakfast." I didn't want to do this because it's pretty stupid but they say I have to so I'll skim a few notes and then I'll be getting back to my morning TV, okay? Alright.

The blacks love me because even though I am a very great man, I let Ben take me to some real shit holes and I was really uncomfortable you know? You know what I'm talking about, but now they love me. Ben loves me, so he is a good Negro. Just the best.

Martin Luther King Jr. is a big deal now because of the fake dishonest news press media saying I took his statue out of my office, and now I have to leave it there, can you believe that? With Lincoln and Jefferson and now we have to keep the statue too. Unbelievable.

So - I just found out now that we have this whole museum. Smithsonian is a long word, hard to remember but it's on the mall, and I have a list of names for you, this guy Fredrick Doug, . . Douglass . . . never heard of him right? but now you will because I said him in this speech. And then there's Rosa Parks, Harriet Tubman. Okay? I'm probably going to have to do this again next year.

But enough about all those folks. Look at all these people here who love me. These are some good Negros folks. Who would have thought a black guy named Paris could love me so much, right? but he's been there at the CNN and I watch him every day but I don't watch the CNN because it's fake news, I mean, every day when I watch it they are just disgraceful towards me it's unbelievable, but Fox News has been pretty nice to me now that they got that Megan Kelly out of there. What was her problem? So thank you Fox wherever you guys are. This is probably your first time at the "little breakfast" too huh? I bet. Just wait. You guys are going to love this. We are really going to roll on these inner cities and crack some heads with the law enforcement. These people gotta learn. Right now they're terrible. I am going to fix that.

Great job!

And if you're looking at making any changes, may I make a suggestion? if you could work in the phrase "he's a credit to his race. A real credit to his race." somewhere, that would be great. Maybe right at the end of your paragraph about Ben?

When I started reading the transcript of his speech, I was actually wondering how long it would be before I would encounter that odious phrase. I guess Trump was too preoccupied talking about himself to fit it in. An obvious oversight on his part.

Read Trump's remarks as many times as you want, but you're not going to see a single word about anything a black person said, thought, or did.

"Well, this is Black History Month, so this is our little breakfast, our little get together. Hey, do we have a White History Month? I don't know if we have one or not but if we don't, we should. We should have one. It would be great. Really great. White History Month. We should have one of those."

Leave it to Trump to make Black History Month all about him. His speech is so insulting that I don't even know where to start. He might as well have come out and said "Well, this is Black History Month so, to all my Nazi and KKK supporters out there, I really don't want to do this but I have an obligation to give a speech. I have to do this because I'm important. Really important. Love the Nazis and the KKK. They're doing a lot of great work. Really great work."

Also noteworthy in his completely reprensible speech was the failure to even MENTION the first black President. But hey, that's not important. What's important is that CNN sucks and Fox treats Trump nice. Very nice.

As for his statement that he's "proud to honor this heritage and will be honoring it more and more." Please don't. Stop while you're behind. You've done enough "honoring" of Black History Month to last a lifetime.
