For all the talk of rebels like McCain, they're ramming through everything on their agenda at political light speed. This is what happens when a mostly united party gets power.

Imagine what would have happened in 2009 had we been united behind like this behind the idea of single payer. There would be no Obamacare repeal.

we've outlasted bigger assholes in my lifetime. Also, remember, these people are not as powerful as you might imagine. Watch congress. Without the money or change in the law, the agency will be unable to do drastic shit. Same with many of the executive orders. Cabinet picks usually go through, even when the Prez doesn't control Congress. I've worked in government all my life, it will be worse, but it isn't a disaster.
