Barack Obama meets coffins of soldiers killed in Afghanistan
Thursday 29 October 2009 08.22 EDT First published on Thursday 29 October 2009 08.22 EDT
Barack Obama last night came face to face with the true cost of the war in Afghanistan, as the remains of 18 US soldiers and drug enforcement agents were unloaded from a military aircraft and returned to US soil.
***Edit to add: Someone else called the person out on this, citing to this very article. Her response was that it only happened once at the beginning of his presidency.

But I'm just morbidly fascinated at the thought process of these people. Or lack thereof.

(5,611 posts)on Facebook argues constantly about politics -- and they argue, and they argue, and they argue...it is totally useless. In my experience, when they weren't arguing they were posting very obvious "boasting" threads about some vacation they took or house they were buying or incredible achievement, etc. It was very tedious, and I barely knew many of them (somebody I talked to a few times in high school isn't worth my energy now) so it was pointless to bother with it all. And the people who are my genuine friends don't use FB anymore either.
