Obama WH photographer throws shade at Trump

Source: CNN

Washington (CNN)President Barack Obama's former White House photographer is taking to Instagram to show frustration with the new administration.

Pete Souza was responsible for documenting the Obama administration, capturing images of the official duties of the West Wing and more personal, intimate peeks into White House life, snaps he often shared on Flickr and Instagram.

After eight years capturing Obama's every move, Souza is taking some time off -- his new Instagram account biography reading: "TBD."

But he's taken to the visual platform in the last few days, posting a series of photos subtly knocking President Donald Trump.

As the chaotic roll out of the President's executive order on immigration captured headlines and spurred protests over the weekend, Souza posted a photo of Obama and a young refugee in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2015:

It is actually serving to increase the division and harden the battle lines.

Obama acting presidential while their president harangues the Australian Prime Minister about a "bad deal" that requires the US to accept refuges from Australia, then hangs up on him; unconstitutionally bans a certain group of people from entering this country; and has the citizens of Great Britain signing petitions to keep HIM out of their country? Fuck that, let the battle lines harden. We can not be afraid to act, not any more.

This was just an observation that it's going to harden the opposition. That may be the only thing that's possible. I agree that it a fabulous photo, and releasing it was the humane thing to do. But to the opposition, displays of humanity involving a black man and a Muslim are like a red flag to a bull.

The battle lines are drawn. All that's left is to "Cry 'Havoc!', and let slip the dogs of war".

In a literal reading, "dogs" are the familiar animals, trained for warfare; "havoc" is a military order permitting the seizure of spoil after a victory and "let slip" is to release from the leash.

This is totally applicable to the situation today.

I have a lot of clients who voted for Trump, hundreds, and not one of them would have been offended it here picture. I am sure that all of them wished Trump could put a child at ease like Pres Obama did.

I have yet to find an enthusiastic supporter. They exist but the percentage of people whose heart is so cold that they would react negatively to the picture is small and don't deserve any consideration anyway.

I've seen all sorts of muscles twitch around his mouth but what comes out looks more like a gaseous constipated grimace to me.

He's close. In my 68 years he has been. No sign of any kind of a scandal at all. No other President has ever been here, well maybe Jimmy. But then again he had brother Billy.
Barack, Michelle, the two girls and Mother/Grandma. All so wonderful, so kind, so beautiful.
