Let's Look At The Positive Side of tRump's Words At The National Prayer B'fast

He's basically disrespecting the whole idea of prayer, and that's a good thing. He's mocking prayer by focusing on Arnold's TV ratings. It's in line with the stupidity of praying that your team wins the Super Bowl.

It's exposing how worthless it is to pray, whether it's for improved TV ratings or for it to start raining in Texas. Rick Perry asked Texans to pray for rain. Was he mocked in the media like he should have been? He was the fucking governor, and THAT was his solution to a drought? Prayer? In a sane world, the media would have been all over his "magic beans" solution to a huge problem.

But because we give Christianity an undeserved level of respect in this country, we don't call stupidity what it is. Instead, we look at the ground, shuffle our feet and mumble, "oh well, religion. He's allowed to believe what he wants." In the meanwhile, problems that need to be addressed by the government are not addressed realistically, and people suffer. And those that pray pat themselves on the back for doing what amounts to literally the least one can do to solve problems. And when the problems aren't solved by their prayers, they walk away still thinking that they lent a huge helping hand.

If prayer worked, the world would be at peace, real peace. Hunger wouldn't exist and everybody on earth would get great medical care. Yep, prayer is bullshit.

So lets give the devil his due on this one and look on the bright side of Trump's self-absorbed words. Out of the mouths of babes, and all that.

I like winners...and being cruxified isn't winning.

Next Trump will say that if he was god, the pearly gates would be replaced by solid gold. "The decor in heaven is a little bland, just like the White House. Not what I'm used to. Sad."

So he basically was using a prayer breakfast (an official POTUS appearance) to create controversy and attention.
