The Detroit info is everywhere.
Record breaking numbers in FL, double the norm. Look, this election was not only influenced by our enemy, which would require a new election, but it was stolen outright.
State officials released a report this week showing more than 161,000 of the electorate did not cast a valid vote for president in November. The rate of invalid votes for president in 2016 was more than double the rate it was in 2012 and 2008.
This number includes those who wrote an invalid name on the ballot, like Mickey Mouse, or left the ballot blank. It also includes those who voted for more than one candidate.
Republican Donald Trump won Florida and its 29 electoral votes by defeating Democrat Hillary Clinton by nearly 113,000 votes.

Where in the Constitution did you find the provision that an election influenced by our enemy requires a do-over?

(9,527 posts)It clearly explains that those 161,000 ballots includes those who double voted or voted for an invalid candidate.
Pretending that it's only people who didn't vote for President and thus is proof something was amiss is sketchy at best.
Complaining the number to previous elections doesn't really work considering how unpopular both candidates were and the presence of Sanders being perceived by some of his supporters as the only true Democrat and Clinton as no better than Trump. Obviously overall that was a small percentage of Sanders' supporters, but it's another factor that makes a straight comparison to previous elections an incorrect comparison.

(42,751 posts)Seems like it would not be too difficult to instruct the machine to count
every say fifth (D) vote as "unable to read" . Then the ballot would be void.

Our GE came down to what the public was thinking in the last 11 days before the election when Comey was violating the Hatch Act, Assage (sp?) and Russian trolls were dumping anti-Hillary Russian Television propaganda out.
Remember, HRC had a 66% approval rating when she left the Senate in 2009 and enjoyed high approval ratings as SoS, so people loved the job she did. But 24/7 RW media turned this into a horse race.
Now look at what we've got!

(9,350 posts)These numbers show that Donald Trump is very vulnerable. It would be very easy for a Democrat to once again win Florida and Michigan. If a Democrat were to win Florida and Michigan Donald Trump would have a hard time winning reelection.

(31,109 posts)I have said since election day Trump did not get more votes in those 4 states that are talked about.
I know it, I am certain of it.
If it will ever be proven, I dont know. But I am certain of it. Having said that, it would have helped if those idiots voting 3rd party had read up on how a two party system works before helping elect the dictator.
