Howard Stern: Trump wants to be loved, presidency will be 'detrimental' to his mental health

Interesting article on Stern, who has known the weasel for decades

This really stood out for me:

The radio host said he also believed Trump ran for president solely to get a larger contract from NBC for "The Apprentice."

"I think it started out as like a kinda cool, fun thing to do in order to get a couple more bucks out of NBC for The Apprentice, I actually do believe that," Stern said.

"He just wanted a couple more bucks out of NBC, and that is why Donald is calling for voter fraud investigations. He's pissed he won. He still wants Hillary Clinton to win. He's so f—ing pissed, he's hoping that he can find some voter fraud and hand it over to Hillary."

I also believe that he never wanted to actually win. Perhaps Stern is on to something here...

But, yeah, I think there might be something to this. He wants to be loved, but he only knows how to be feared.

the system is rigged against him . get the cheering crowds and make money .

how he has to do the work and there are restrictions in life when one is president but he can't claim to have gotten there due to the people.

I find that hard to believe. If he wanted her to win then why is he pushing a right-wing agenda and appointing the people he's appointing? Why is he so buddy buddy with Putin? Hillary wouldn't have done any of those things.

If he had lost, he would have started Trump TV or gone back to The Apprentice something. That would have been perfect for him because it would have given him the spotlight and a source of income without the burden of doing a real job.

It backfired and now he's stuck in job he probably hates. A Hillary win would have given him freedom.

He's going right wing because, that's where he is getting his "ratings" as a politician. It's his demographic. He probably also believes a fair amount of it.

Now he is stuck, his family's businesses are going down the drain and his mental illness will become more severe with the pressure.

Throughout the campaign he just kept saying things that were more and more outrageous. Being President is hard work, and he never wanted to do that. My guess is that NBC was actually cutting his pay. The ratings for The Apprentice have gone down steadily over the years. No doubt ad revenue was down. Why would they pay him the same as before?

Now he's putting through these executive orders (that Bannon wants) that are alarming, even to many Republicans.

this was a well orchestrated coup. Hillary was never meant to win it because trump had putin's Assange helping via wikileaks. They would have stopped at nothing to get trump in: fake news, gaslighting, election fraud, fbi, you name it.

Trump has made a mockery out office of presidency and turned us into international joke, kinda like Duterte. Our country may never recover from this.

he only wanted to "win"

winning was everything

he did not want to be president

he can still eeek his way out of it by feigning a heart attack or some shit.

someone should tell him to go ahead before the stress kills him. he can "save face" and save us all.

that I thought the stress would get to him. He has an image to uphold and can't pace himself. He may be rushing to fulfill his campaign promises so that he can hand it all over to Pence and Bannon and get back to business. That may be why he won't sell his businesses; this is only temporary, to satisfy his debts to Putin et al. Besides, he must save his show's ratings!

Which is why Bannon is doing all the "presidenty stuff" while Trump asks prayer breakfast to pray for Arnold's ratings.

His head is STILL in the apprentice.

just fucking dandy.

We've got an unstable disinterested man-child playing at being President.

But there were clues to this prior to the election, like when he said he may not serve if he *won*
