... in memory of all those who lost their lives in the Bowling Green Massacre.
They were our countrymen, our fellow citizens. And despite the fact that they never existed, they should never be forgotten.

(7,309 posts)Such empty lives they had. Just merely shells of their former selves.
Died way before their time. I mean way before their time, as in died before they were born. Possibly aborted.
The place was a ghost town.
I guess in this case, "absence of evidence is evidence of absence."
May they rest in peace, and by that, I mean, may they sleep peacefully at night.

(310 posts)Thanks to the OP for posting this, as it didn't hit close to home for me.
One of the people who perished that day wasn't my former dental hygienist.
It doesn't seem like just yesterday, she was suggesting I could improve my gumline. And the jokes we never told!
She had no family, no friends. I can't believe I never invited her to dinner.
What hurts most is that all these years, no one mourned her, no one cared.
It's stragic.

(612 posts)I was traumatized by the event, and I have uncontrollable urges to weep and drink lots of beer. The weeping doesn't seem to help, but the beer sure as hell does. Also, I was deeply moved by Kellyanne's empathy for the families of the victims who all meet at her house every month for support. Those families are just blessed that she's so personally involved.

(28,270 posts)She wouldn't know the truth if it slapped her in the face!
IndianaDave
(612 posts)but, one of the things that bothers me the most about her is that I believe she knows the truth, but also has the disgusting skill to remain calm, distort her face with a fabricated smile and openly lie with the appearance of sincerity. That takes a level of hypocrisy which - when indulged in over a long period of time - diminishes and dehumanizes her. I hate to admit that I have no respect for her. I try to be accepting of everyone, but she has earned my revulsion and rejection.
