Judge dismisses Melania Trump's lawsuit against Daily Mail: report

First lady Melania Trump's $150 million defamation suit against the Daily Mail has been dismissed by a judge in Maryland, BuzzFeed News reports.

The judge ruled that the state court did not have the proper jurisdiction to pursue a case against the U.K.-based Daily Mail.

Trump filed the lawsuit against the Daily Mail and Maryland-based political blogger Webster Griffin Tarpley in September after they published that she once worked for an escort service in the 1990s, according to The Washington Post.

The Daily Mail retracted the story shortly after the lawsuit was filed.

A judge ruled last Friday that Trump could proceed with the lawsuit against Tarpley.
