(CNN)The US wrestling team won't be able to compete in this month's Freestyle World Cup in Iran because visas were denied to its members, the Iranian semiofficial Tasnim News Agency said Friday.
Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Bahram Ghasemi said a special committee reviewed the case Friday and "eventually the visit by the USA freestyle wrestling team was opposed," according to the agency.
The denial comes after Iran announced it would take "reciprocal measures" toward US citizens following President Donald Trump's order last week banning entry to nationals from seven Muslim-majority countries, including Iran, to the United States.
Ghasemi said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was "obliged inevitably to oppose the US wrestling team's travel to Iran" in the wake of Trump's policies, according to the semiofficial FARS news agency.

Wrestling is a very right wing sport (and fanatically religious). The US team and the biggest college teams are headed by Trumpbots (Iowa, Penn State, Harvard, North Carolina, etc).
They get what they deserve.

Imprisonment and life post-sentencing
Soon after sentencing, the Illinois Teachers' Retirement System announced that Hastert would forfeit future teachers' pension benefits, effective immediately, due to a state law depriving pension benefits from educators who are convicted of felonies relating to their employment.[223] Hastert is challenging the System's decision to terminate his pension (which amounted to about $16,000 a year) on the ground that the specific federal crimes of which he was convicted was not directly related to his time as a teacher.[224] Hastert's general assembly pension (of about $28,000 a year[224]) was originally unaffected,[223] but in October 2016, the General Assembly Retirement System board of trustees unanimously voted to suspend Hastert's pension "until it gets a clearer picture."[224]
Notwithstanding his conviction, Hastert continues to receive his congressional pension,[225] which amounts to about $73,000 a year.[224]
Hastert did not appeal his conviction or sentence.[226] Shortly after being sentenced, Hastert paid the $250,000 fine[227] and was ordered to report to prison on June 22, 2016.[228] On that date, Hastert reported to the Federal Medical Center, Rochester in Minnesota to begin his prison term.[229]
The Federal Bureau of Prisons expected release date for Hastert is August 16, 2017.[230]

My best friend is from a wrestling family. Most are just as you described. Although a wrestler he's not or he wouldn't be my friend much less my best friend.

You can see for yourself.
Some girl won a medal in Rio and she is a born again religious nut.
Aside from the fact that the wrestlers and football thugs were the bullies in school,
they are also right wing nuts. If I had kids, they would NOT be allowed in such low crap.
