Push for national anti LGBTQ marriage proposal goes beyond that issue. It is a way to get support for a convention. And the purpose of the convention is also to declare Christianity the official religion and to insert the Bible as the basis for all federal and state law.

Women's rights would be gone. Life at conception would be federal standard with ending pregnancy being declared pre meditated murder. And it would go on and on.

The Arkansas push is just a PR tool to gain support for a convention which could rewrite the entire Constitution. We would not recognize the country after that and the US would cease to exist as we know it.
