Ivanka Trump’s Line Gone From Neiman Marcus Website One Day After Nordstrom Drops Her Brand

Shoppers on Neiman Marcus’ website will no longer be able to purchase a $12,000 diamond bracelet designed by Ivanka Trump.

The bracelet was reportedly one of more than a dozen jewelry and accessory items designed by the First Daughter that have vanished from the tony retailer’s site with no explanation. Neiman Marcus did not respond to a request for comment.

Their disappearance comes soon after Nordstrom’s announcement Thursday that it had decided not to sell Ivanka Trump’s products for the spring season, due to poor sales. Nordstrom had primarily sold her shoes online.

“In this case, based on the brand’s performance, we’ve decided not to buy it for this season,” Nordstrom said in a statement to the New York Times.......................................

They can claim sales (given the tarnishing of the the brand that's understandable) but the real reason seems to be that it's cheaply made crap AND concerns over stealing designs.

Rips off the styles of established designers, maybe changes one button or tassel, charges slightly less than the designer version, and slaps her name on them.

Evidently lagging sales told enough of a tale. Whether it was because of cheesy knock-offs or a boycott, it's MOST gratifying to see this!

Especially people with money who come to the US to shop. They are the ones who might buy that expensive crap.

But also just carrying that brand could hurt with other sales since boycott means boycott the entire business not just avoid trump crap.
