So i think i had an epiphany about why right wingers are so afraid of liberal protests....

I believe the right wingers are afraid of the progressive protests and complain about them because they watched what happened when the teabaggers organized and protested in 2009 and 2010. what happened during the next election? they swept the races. kicked out many a democrat politician.

The right also knows the power that progressives have when they organize and protest and become active. the end of slavery. blacks getting the right to vote. women getting the right to vote. social security, medicare. gay marriage. minimum wage.

all things that they detest. and now they see the growing progressive movement happening real time and its scaring the shit out of them. What liberal progressive socialist things are these groups going to make happen this time?

1. I don't think they think so clearly about it. I think it's just anxiety about the under-classes

(whether they be women, people with anything but lily white skin, LGBT people, old people, sick people) getting uppity and taking their toys away from them.

From what I've seen it's only fear of not being able to drive home.

And they are wrong on absolutely everything. Wrong on Obama. Wrong on climate change. Wrong on LGBT rights. Wrong on the wealth gap. Just wrong wrong wrong. The only way they can win debates and elections is to demonize those who they don't agree with. We have to start fighting back against their nonsense, and that time is now.

7. RW are afraid of change and lack of control

RWers live in fear. They don't like change and believe in a mythical past where everything was great. If someone is, in their world, the voice of authority and control, they will follow that person.

I think the OP gives too much credit to RWers and their ability to think rationally. They are too gripped by fear to be rational.

And anything that can't be bought, can't be trusted and they don't understand. It's why the 'baggers were all astroturf, and why they accuse us of the same thing. They're protesters were paid dupes, therefore, ALL protesters must be paid. And I'm done with feeling bad for them that they're too stupid to figure out that's only how it works in RepublicanAltFactLand.

9. They think that their place is to rule and do what they want

How dare "the peasants" challenge them!

They like to deride progressives for their "safe spaces" but it seems like it's really them that need them- since they can't handle any protests or opposition (or getting up in their grills) without complaining and/or running away. I'm glad that we're giving them guff and hope it continues for all 4 years of Trump's Unfortunate Presidency. I hope that we all make the next 4 years the most miserable ones the Trumpublicans ever experience in their lives.

10. Not sure they are actually afraid of them as much as annoyed. They get pissed the more

THEIR choices are questioned, beat-upon (figuratively), mocked, etc.

It is a reflection on them.

It is commentary (huge and constant these days) against things they believe in, and for things they don't.
