President Trump seemed to give Russian President Vladimir Putin a pass on state-sanctioned murder in a TV interview that will air Sunday afternoon.

Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly asked Trump why he respects Putin given that Putin’s “a killer,” and got this answer from the president:

“There are a lot of killers. We’ve got a lot of killers. What do you think? Our country’s so innocent?”

Earlier in the interview, Trump hedged on whether he “respects” the Russian leader. “I respect a lot of people, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to get along with him,” Trump said.

I think it's significant that the RW Post uses that language when describing the Twitler's statement.

I think one of the theories is that only Russian banks will lend to him after 4 business bankruptcies, so he kisses Putin's ass as much as possible to keep that going. Makes sense to me.

Maybe he has not been compromised, but how many people has Trump criticized instead of Vladimir Putin. He criticized his own country in order to defend Putin. In America journalist are not jailed or killed just because they disagree with the President. In America political opponents of the President are not poisoned, killed, or jailed.
