Joe Theismann: Donald Trump banning Muslims is ‘just like Tom Brady’ winning the Super Bowl

http://www.rawstory.com/2017/02/joe-theismann-donald-trump-banning-muslims-is-just-like-tom-brady-winning-the-super-bowl/

“You know, President Trump is not the first one to put a ban on people coming into this country,” he explained. “It’s started with Charles Arthur back in 1882 when he banned a group of Chinese to come in and it just went on and on… and President Obama actually did in back in 2011.”

“So, what is taking place isn’t necessarily impressive, it’s just that people now have decided that they want to take to the streets to protest what’s going on,” the former quarterback opined. “The president made a promise to the American people. When he became president of the United States, he was going to do certain things. And he has followed through on so many of the things that he has said he wanted to do.”

Theismann encouraged Americans to get behind Trump because “no matter who is in the office, we should respect the president of the office and we should allow them to try and do their job, just like Tom Brady is going to try and do his today.”

Too many concussions, too long on the field

I lived in the D.C. area during the glory days of the Redskins and even though Joe got us into the playoffs and Superbowl, he was never liked or respected like Bill Kilmer and Sonny Jurgensen .

They were hell-raisers, dirt-grit, in-your-face quarterbacks who loved the manliness of the sport. Jurgensen was the legend known for his passing arm and understanding of the game. Kilmer was the back-up who the masses loved for his never-say-die attitude and being one of the gang. Both rowdy, both lovable to the fans. Hell, they drank and swore and spit with the best of them - they were true roughnecks.

He inaccurately characterized Obama's immigration actions right out of the gate, and he descended to "dumb-shit" status from there.

Stick to describing pass and catch patterns, Joe. At least you can then legitimately earn a salary.

BTW, the photo unfairly gives us the impression that Joe is in the early stages of dementia. Looks like he got hit in the head way too often.

He ripped Ricky Williams when his own son was busted with drugs.

Please don't blame this on concussions, I have TBI myself, it takes the responsibility away from him because it's not his fault if it's because he has brain damage.

Seems to me a majority of Americans no longer support trump, and an even larger majority specifically object to this religious ban. Theismann playing the stooge isn't really going to win him any new fans...
