Meet Edward Boyd.

From the article:

Avoiding Aunt Jemima images, he commissioned ads showing African-Americans as fun-loving middle-class consumers living the American dream. In one ad the small boy shown shopping for Pepsi with his mother was Ron Brown, who would become secretary of commerce.

He also used pictures of distinguished blacks like Ralph Bunche, the diplomat, and of high-achieving students.

Mr. Boyd hired some of the first black advertising models, flooded black papers with ads and added new sophistication and prominence to the ads already being published in magazines like Ebony. He created the first point-of-purchase displays aimed at minorities.

And in portraying black americans as ordinary middle class citizens for Pepsi, I think he did a good thing.

Pepsi stated in the 1800s. That was what I thought you meant by originally -- not post world war 2. Still, a good story, though.

They can't get caffeine from Starbucks or Coca Cola.

They are starting to feel very constrained, a straitjacket of their own making by multiple overlapping boycotts.

Good practice for when they get taken away and put in a padded room. Starting with the Nutter-in-Chief, we can hope.

Range from: "America the Beautiful should be sung in ENGLISH!" and "What a blatant dig at President Trump, I'll be taking my business elsewhere."

Their brains don't understand that... America is for everyone and, the commercial never mentioned Trump. The snowflakes.

When it came out, conservatives were so blinded by their hatred of people singing the song in other languages and daring to be browner than they are, that they totally missed that a married gay couple and their daughter were in it... Seriously, it took them a day or two to realize it. I had to point it out to several conservative friends on Facebook.
