10. Reality show styled competitions have a short shelf life in general.

Think of the late American Idol.

Or remember the first season of Survivor when everyone seemed to be glued to it all the way down to its finale. Unlike American Idol, it's still on, but when's the last time anyone ever actually talked about Survivor.

They play out and get stale. People will get bored with them after a few seasons. Occasionally the show's producers will tinker with the format in a desperate attempt to remain fresh, but it rarely works.

The Apprentice was dying long before Trump announced. But now that he is associated with it, it will probably die an even faster death, unless Trump mandates NBC otherwise. Given that he views it as Arnold's show now, I doubt he really cares. I will give some credit to Arnold being the slightly garbled voice of reason over the most recent childish behavior from the Madman at the prayer breakfast.

But most people don't really care about the Apprentice anymore, if they ever did. Including myself.

Even if the show were worth watching (it's always been awful), I'd not watch it because of that affiliation.
