That 60 million Americans fell for this carnival barker nonsense begs the need for more education funding.

There's a good chance they will succeed this time. I will be surprised if this doesn't pass easily in both houses and get signed with a flourish by Trump.

These bills will get little publicity and just float through a Republican Congress. GOOPers' constituents will like it, and they're desperate for that support.

Get ready to switch to local public funding. That's my advice for Public TV and Radio. I'll be upping my donations.

And I'm sure so called President Bannon/Trump would be happy to sign it.

They don't want any opposite views on the air to counter Hate radio.

7. That's why both bills will probably pass.

NPR and Public Television will scream bloody murder, but only their listeners and viewers will hear them. There simply aren't enough of those to prevent this from happening. I still donate, even though I don't actually listen or watch my local stations. They simply don't have a large enough audience to prevent those bills from passing in a Republican Congress.

Both are toast, in terms of federal funding. But, they've been moving toward independence anyhow over the past few decades. They've seen the writing on the wall. If you support public broadcasting, donate to your local stations. They're going to need all the donations they can get and real soon, now.

As far as I'm concerned it doesn't exist. Do you watch it? Do you watch public television? If so, do you donate to support it?

I'm not defending cutting their funding. I'm predicting that this Congress will do that. They've wanted to since the 1960s. Now, they probably can do it.

whose wife LOVES Duck Dynasty. It's her favorite program. And yes, they are Trumpsters.

My point is that the Republicans only want commercial TV where advertisers can sell you shit without
any regulations on them. And they want to be sure there is no redeeming value, or educational benefit,
to the crap they will put on the airwaves, either.

The whole thing has me sick. We've seen the deterioration of other channels over the last decade--History Channel, National Geographic
Channel, and others as they've been bought out/taken over. It's disgusting.

And yes, we've supported our local PBS station for years and years.

most of the decent funding coming to PBS comes from funding of the Corp for Public Broadcasting. Imagines the loss of Kens Burns, Civil War, Base Ball, Jackie Robinson, Downton Abby, Lincoln Center, etc, etc, etc, etc, not to mention all the musical tributes.

Damn, this sucks.

As a resident of Colorado I ask you to remember that this state went for Hillary. Lamborn does not represent all of us.

I was raised to pray for those "who despitefully use" us. But damned if this bunch doesn't make doing so difficult to accomplish with any degree of sincerity.

I don't believe that defunding PBS will not improve it -- The Koch bros. will probably buy the airwaves
