Madam Justice, the struggle is constant

Justice Ginsburg stated in a recent visit to Sanford University:

“I wish there were a way I could wave a magic wand and put it back when people were respectful of each other, and (government) was working for the good of the country, and not just along party lines,” Ginsburg said.

While I am older than some but younger than others, including being younger than our friend Justice Ginsburg, I have never known a time when republicans were not working completely in their own interests and were not attacking the poor, vulnerable and our environment at every turn.

I realize as I get older that sometimes people want to think about "the good 'ole days" but that is a fantasy. It never existed.
Until this last year, I would have said things had improved but I realize it was, mostly, an illusion. We have not got any better, just more of the same. Many have taken this opportunity to stop pretending and say and do what they were thinking all along.
So unfortunately Madam Justice, this was a fight they caused. it was their racism, bigotry, greed and religious zealotry, people like me just happen to be in their way.
