"The new fool of the White House got a painful slap across his face."

Al Qaeda leader mocks 'the new fool of the White House' after Yemen raid

(CNN)Days after a raid on an al Qaeda compound in Yemen led to the first US military combat death under Donald Trump, the leader of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula released an audio message taunting the new American President.

In an 11-minute recording, AQAP leader Qassim al-Rimi condemned the January 29 raid, saying, "The new fool of the White House received a painful slap across his face."
The message was released online Saturday and translated by the SITE Intelligence Group.

In the recording, Rimi also claimed "dozens of Americans were killed and wounded," a number starkly at odds with the US account, which reported the death of one Navy SEAL, Chief Petty Officer William "Ryan" Owens. Three additional SEALs also were wounded.
Rimi acknowledged the deaths of 14 men and 11 women and children in the raid, a joint counterterrorism effort between the United States and United Arab Emirates.

We should not hate Trump so much that we take glee in seeing such a
dangerous man who most likely has or certainly might kill our countrymen,
attack our presidency. Otherwise we sink to the level of the ignorance on the right.

I certainly have no issue with your posting this important article so that
we might understand the implications and ramifications of this failed
raid. We cannot even be sure that the failure can be laid at Trump's door,
even though ultimately the CIC has to take the responsibility.

I do take issue with the simplistic facile and gleeful responses weaponizing
our enemy to attack someone we despise. If we are going to successfully
resist this crisis, we need to be better than this.

When you have an opponent who isn't afraid to die and almost welcomes death which he or she believes brings martyrdom you need to have a better solution than "beat the s--t out of them."

The goal should be to empower those Muslims who find terrorism abhorrent. Trump's attacks on Islam writ large is doing the opposite.

Not encouraging it nor did I ask a terrorist to produce a video spanking the president BUT I don't feel the least bit sad that super duper big 'n' bad Trump is getting openly mocked in front of the world.

As for terrorists being empowered: they were empowered well before this shit went down. The USA's nonstop interventions in the Middle East have been their best recruiting tool.

Trump is being mocked around the world; we do not need to

has killed 1000's of Americans, who also mocks this man.

To do otherwise, only makes our resistance look weaker.

This lowlife piece of shit seems to know how Trump works. He gains an advantage by having more US troops fighting abroad. Trump isn't smart enough to figure this shit out. There really is a chance that people like this taunting Trump will be enough to get Trump to send even more troops overseas. Qassim al-Rimi, true scum of the earth, will gain in two ways by Trump reacting. First, it's easier and cheaper to kill Americans overseas than it is to get them into this country. Second, each one we kill overseas generates even more anti-American sentiment. It is a clearly losing strategy.

They need a final great battle against the west, its center in an area somewhere northeast of Syria and Turkey, the name of which I've forgotten, and which their god will of course make sure they win in his name.
