Sandra Fluke:1/24/2017 Donald Trump and the GOP will be shocked by what comes after the Women's Marh

On Saturday, millions took to the streets in a global outcry against President Donald Trump and the Republican Congress' promises to set American women back decades. They marched not only as women, but as immigrant women, women of color, LGBTQIA women, women with disabilities, Muslim women and poor women, knowing that their rights were in danger not only as women, but as members of so many communities targeted by the incoming administration and Congress.

Trump and his advisers were clearly shocked by the numbers, and actually tried to rewrite history to make them disappear.

I wasn't shocked. I saw it coming because I've been privileged over the last few months to be one of the advocacy leaders who received a flood of calls, emails, text messages, direct messages, Facebook messages, tweets, LinkedIn messages and in-person pleas from women and men asking what to do to fight against the terrifying agenda of Trump and Congressional Republicans in our post-11/8 world. I've heard from other leaders that they've also experienced this outpouring of interest from first-time and lapsed activists.
