My modest proposal to right wing Christians.

Trump is installing people to cabinet positions who are hostile to the departments they will be tasked with overseeing. Supposedly this is so they can dismantle them. I hear no outcry from right wing Christians who oddly seem to love Trump, despite him being just about as non Christian a figure as you can get. So I want to make a proposal. Since none of this seems to bother you. I'm assuming you would be ok installing atheists like me to positions of power within your churches. If so I volunteer

Maybe you could start applying for pastor openings at those evangelical churches.

I don't think knowledge of religion is required from what I have seen.

While I would still remain an atheist, as being an atheist is an important component of my world view, I would be much more amenable to level headed discussions if more christian leaders actually espoused the christian ideals of compassion and forgiveness.
