On FB it had a nice background picture of a lush woods; I don't know how to upload picks or I would have included it.

I listened to a video of his a few weeks ago & he had some good points to make about the environment, but when he said that there would be no humans left in 10 years, he lost the show host completely, & I suspect a good number of people watching, as well.

I did not look him up. His quote is spot on, that I know.

No humans in 10 years, well, that seems fast, yet with a trump administration and GOP rule you never do know.

He's been labelled a crackpot and has received plenty of hate mail.

But retired professor Guy McPherson stands by his controversial claims that humans will cease to exist within 10 years.

Mr McPherson is a retired professor of conservation biology from the University of Arizona.

He blames climate change and the impacts already unleashed by human activity for his extreme prophecy. And it's too late to change the apocalypse that is to come, he says.

"I can't see humans existing within 10 years. We can do nothing to stop the planet becoming too hot to grow food and support life. It is already happening and we have less than a decade left."

Can you imagine sending hate mail to someone over this?

currently reported.

No, I can't imagine sending anyone hate mail, but I get your point. The hate mail probably came from the big oil executives.

I read the Fukushima article yesterday. What gets me is how they keep using the dilution argument - it's not a problem cuz it's so diluted. But if we never stop it & it just keeps spewing, at some point, it becomes a problem, right? Not to mention the worst concentration is near the area itself, so that becomes a problem much sooner. A few months ago I was at a political event & some people near me were talking about population & one woman said, "Oh that's not a problem. Look how much space there is in Wyoming!" My jaw almost hit the floor. I was glad to see some of her companions were also shocked.

You're right. You never know. McPherson may be off on the 10 year thing, but overall, it's not looking good for homo sapiens.
