Don calls France, cue clustefuck: "He speaks with slogans, conversation wasn't completely organized"

A phone call by Donald Trump to his French counterpart did not go very well with the newly-elected President demanding the United States get a refund on money spent on NATO.

According to a report from Politico, Trump spoke with French President Francois Hollande on Jan. 28 and while part of the conversation went well, they claim the president hounded Hollande about money.

Speaking with Politico, a senior official with knowledge of the call said that Trump seemed obsessed with NATO costs and stated that he thinks the U.S. is being taken advantage of by China and by international organizations like NATO.

“It was a difficult conversation, because he talks like he’s speaking publicly,” the official explained. “It’s not the usual way heads of state speak to each other. He speaks with slogans and the conversation was not completely organized.”

According to the official, Trump said he was fine with the French involvement with NATO but the U.S. “wants our money back.”

We don't need another terror attack. He's doing a better job at destroying this country than any terrorist organization ever could.

But it DOES play exactly like Conan O'Brien's "phone calls from Trump to Obama."

One is funny.

One is tragic.

than other NATO members". But the USA chooses to be involved in many more areas than NATO - Korea, the Middle East and so on. The amount of US money that actually goes to NATO will be a tiny part of the US military budget. Keeping troops stationed in NATO countries can be seen as a form of NATO expenditure, but the US would want to have those troops and hardware anyway - it's only the excess cost of keeping them abroad rather than at home that should be counted (and the US wants to have bases around the world for non-NATO reasons too).

with a comment about them bringing class and dignity back to the White House. I almost gagged and was tempted to post photos of Melania's nude photos and suggestive poses to see if that is what they meant by class and dignity. (I didn't do that. My class and dignity wouldn't allow me to do that. ).

So it is when tRump is called upon to have a civil conversation with a head of state he is simply NOT up to the task. Proving once again that just because you have money does not mean you know anything about class and dignity. He is a national embarrassment and will continue to cause international incidences because he lacks the skills needed for the job. Just common courtesy and manners seem to elude him.
