He's gotten into the back room of the chocolate shop after closing hours, and he's gorging himself with chocolate. He gets sick and tosses the goo, looks around for another box and goes to work on it. He starts to cry and he's all alone and he starts to whisper to himself, "Stop me... Please stop me..."

Our Boy Trumpy.

So - not Jewish. Streicher is a German name that would translate to something like "Stringer."

article. But it still reads (to me) like trying to give a hated non-Jew a Jewish name. Like Publicans calling FDR "Mr. Rosenfelt".

that doesn't negate the anti-Semitic practice of twisting the names of hated non-Jews into Jewish-sounding names. To me, Streicher sounds and "reads" Jewish. But I'm not implying that the OP had any such intent; only that it made me uneasy.

of a Nazi propagandist to attribute his qualities to someone who is neither Jewish nor (as far as I know) German, but is instead a propagandist for a white supremacist administration.

I'm thinking of names like Coleman and Gordon, the actual names of some Jewish people I know of (and also some non-Jewish people I know of). Names get changed and tweaked all the time. I understand where there could be some concern in other situations, but not here: It's not far to attribute malign influences where clearly none were intended (attributing Jewishness to Streicher's name as attached to Spicer, a member of a definitely anti-Semitic administration, wouldn't make any sense at all).

BTW, I know Jews whose last name is Trump. Does that mean Trump is a Jewish name?

It doesn't have any Hebrew or Yiddish roots or associations. It's just plain German. Streicher wouldn't have gotten his job as a Nazi propagandist if the other Nazis had even the slightest suspicion that the name was anything but Aryan, Herrenvolk, master-race German.
