...unless, perhaps, maybe - if you're a billionaire type in an underground bunker in a remote location.

How long would those guys really be able to hold out before they run out of food etc?

And if they eventually did crawl out of their spider hole at long last, what good would their billions of dollars be?

The republicans will do everything possible to slow-walk a response; and they'll Disaster Capitalize on anything they do send.

Republicans will also fan the flames of gloating and rejoicing from the rest of the country.

good planning. A lot of stuff needed can cost money, so acquiring things like handheld water filters may take time. Having space for storage will be difficult for some people. Treat the financial expenditures as if it is insurance.

The basic requirements for human survival are air, water, food, shelter, sanitation, touch, sleep, and personal space.
