...it's kind of hard for me to justify spending $70 on a plain button down dress shirt.
So instead, I'll just ask that Nordstrom listen very carefully.
*Ahem*
Good for you, Nordstrom.

(2,198 posts)Most Trump supporters can't afford the price tag and have no place to wear the stuff if they did buy it. Those who could afford it know it's cheap knock-offs made outside the US.

(13,340 posts)They had a picture of one of her purses....
It was made of synthetic "leather" and made in Indonesia.
Who pays $150 for a naugahide piece of crap bag made in sweatshops in Indonesia? FFS!

(5,611 posts)as I am into purses. Fake leather, bad designer knock-offs, gawd that whole family is SO TACKY. Absolute definitive proof that money =/= class.
To steal a phrase and rework it because it's warranted... That family are the wallmart of the rich and famous. (Misspelled on purpose.)

(5,611 posts)choices. I especially loathed her inauguration uniform. She looked like some nightmarish blend of a 1960s stewardess (they were called stewardesses in those days) and toy solider figure from the Nutcracker.
I know people might criticize me for criticizing her apparel but seriously I think we should be able to post our thoughts on DU. Kellyanne has all of the power and acclaim of Trump, his team, and all of the Trump rabid supporters who think she is god's gift. We don't need to protect her (nor do we need to protect Melania but that's another thread).

(14,449 posts)I never noticed her look before but I felt that look on inaugural day was a "look at me. I'm important" on a day that was clearly not hers.

(5,611 posts)I started shopping at the Brass Plum (NORDSTROM's young women's clothing department) many years ago, and their bi-annual sale when I was growing up in Southern California was AWESOME (it made "going back to school" so much better), and I always loved the quality of their products, their layout, everything. Although I mainly buy my makeup online from Sephora and so on, I used to LOVE visiting NORDSTROM's makeup counter. They always had the best employees as well -- helpful and genuinely good at their jobs.
All of this of course makes me an even more loyal customer!

(4,492 posts)I buy my eyeshadow there but it's a $12 purchase every other year so not much.
I will say that (from word of mouth) for the ladies, they have a great lingerie dept and carry hard to find bra sizes (I'm not endowed in that area and have a standard sized bra) and have the best bra fitting service available.

(107,887 posts)Nordstrom Rack actually. Bought a suit jacket I've only worn once.
The regular Nordstrom's too expensive for my blood.
I buy most of my clothes at Costco or Fred Meyer.

(15,411 posts)but then I'm old and do not need to keep up with all the fashion trends.
I've bought Nordstom shirts for probably 30 years. They are expensive but I only buy one or two a year. They are 100% cotton, you never have to iron them and they wear like iron. One has a tear because I burned a hole in it but I wear it on weekends. It's my favorite. Foxcroft is the brand. Not all of them are 100% cotton but the ones in solid colors that are will last you a life time.
If I wore cheaper shirts I'd have to buy more to replace those that wore out. YMMV
