Can there be two realities and both realities be true?

Is truth in the eye of the beholder? After all, no one has a monopoly on the truth.

Can there be an "alternate reality" that has alternate truths to society's "reality"?

Reality is fact-based, as much as humanly possible. No one is perfect.

However, two plus two still equals four. Lies have no place in a true reality.

Simply because more people may believe a lie than a truth does not make it true. To say that there was a massacre in Bowling Green is a lie. To say that the crime rate is the highest it has ever been is a lie. To say that the military raid in Yemen was a "success" is a lie. To say that the majority of the American people voted for the Trump agenda is a lie. He lost the popular vote by 2.86 million votes.

There is a reality and there is a fake reality. The fake reality attempts to get people to believe something that is not true. They use repetition and propaganda to persuade people they are right and the other side is wrong.

The only measurement we have is facts. If their statements do not match the facts, they are false. They are lies.

There cannot be two different realities with the truth. One is devoid of facts.

trump @ MCAA..

Right now, many communities in America are facing a public safety crisis. Murders in 2015 experienced their largest single-year increase in nearly half a century. In 2016, murders in large cities continued to climb by double digits. In many of our biggest cities, 2016 brought an increase in the number of homicides, rapes, assaults and shootings. In Chicago, more than 4,000 people were shot last year alone, and the rate so far this year has been even higher

Sessions today...
"I wish the rise that we are seeing in crime in America today were some sort of aberration or a blip."
Instead, Sessions said that he judged it to be a "dangerous permanent trend" and that "there are a lot of things" that need to be done at the Justice Department, per the pool report.

The number of violent crimes in the United States rose nearly 4 percent in 2015 compared to the year before, according to the FBI's annual data report released in 2016.

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/jeff-sessions-claims-rise-in-crime-rates-dangerous-permanent-trend

Of course he can't know if its a "permanent trend", but early stats show 2016 would show an increase over 2015...
All of the offenses in the violent crime category—murder and non-negligent manslaughter, rape (revised definition), rape (legacy definition), aggravated assault, and robbery—showed increases when data from the first six months of 2016 were compared with data from the first six months of 2015. The number of aggravated assaults increased 6.5 percent, murders increased 5.2 percent, rapes (legacy definition) increased 4.4 percent, rapes (revised definition) rose 3.5 percent, and robbery offenses were up 3.2 percent.

The country’s murder rate jumped more last year than it had in nearly half a century, newly released federal crime data showed, although the number of homicides remained far below the levels of the 1980s and ’90s.

deal with the dynamics of an emotionally and mentally limited person with narcissistic authoritarian paternalistic mysogenistic tendencies given the most powerful complex job in the world.

News and journalists can't keep up and aren't in the habit of wondering about possible ramifications. We need drama, satire, monologue, stories, etc for people to start to grasp what's going on.
