Where does Sally Yates go to get her reputation back?

John Nichols ‏@NicholsUprising 25m25 minutes ago

Acting AG Sally Yates decided Trump #MuslimBan was indefensible.
Trump fired her.
Court rulings confirm Yates was right.
Can we fire Trump?

Can you imagine how much that would chap Trump's hide if Dems took the WH in 2020, a SC opening came up, and they nominated Sally Yates?

I think I'd pay to see Trump's reaction to that. I bet his head would explode.

Hand-in-hand with taking the WH in 2020 would be the assumption that we would also have the Senate by then.

Granted, that's assuming that the voting public sees the shit-storm that is currently happening and comes to their senses, which is probably asking too much.

Damn the torpedoes - full steam ahead!!!

Btw, when you talked about 2020 I was taking into consideration that Trump would be prez until 2021. Sorry that I got confused a little.

But then we would have Pence. Ugh.

But yeah, I'm thinking if the Dems took WH and Senate, they need to go all in. Anything less just won't cut it. Especially after the damage of that Trump/Pence will no doubt leave in their wake.

Pence is Trump's insurance buffer to make everyone think twice before calling for impeachment.

And History Proves Getting Impeached does not mean the guy who takes your old seat, wins the next Presidential Election. Remember President Jimmy Carter folks?

So it would be wise for folks to stop being "shell-shocked" into a "corner" on if Pence is placed into the POTUS seat with a Trump Impeachment and Removal as it is not an automatic win for Pence, beyond the 2020 Presidential Election.

I'm worried about having to deal with him between the time Trump is impeached, quits, or walks off in a huff and the next election.

One other thing to consider is that Trump's racism/bigotry/misogyny/etc. and his fumbling attempts to codify them into law via EOs has united people of all ages, races, creeds, genders, and religions for, well, ALL of our causes. If Trump is ousted and Pres Milquetoast gets in, I kind of worry that people will think that "order has been restored" and become complacent, thus allowing Pence and the Republicans to continue implementing Bannon's scorched earth policies until 2020.
