David Corn: Bombshell Report Suggests Trump's National Security Adviser Is Threat to US Policy

Bombshell Report Suggests Trump's National Security Adviser Is Dishonest and a Threat to US Policy

He also may not be very bright.

The Trump-Russia scandal has so far resided in the territory between smoke and fire. Donald Trump associates have reportedly been investigated for interactions with Russia, but the FBI has not released information on these contacts. Trump has pushed an America First policy, but he has curiously denied or downplayed the US intelligence conclusion that Vladimir Putin mounted an extensive covert campaign to subvert the 2016 election to benefit Trump and instead has cultivated an odd bromance with the Russian autocrat. A series of memos written by a former counterintelligence officer contained allegations that Russian intelligence had spent years cultivating or co-opting Trump and gathering compromising information on him and that the Trump camp had colluded with Russians, but the specifics have not been confirmed.

Yet now one piece of the Trump-Russia puzzle has been clearly depicted: Trump's national security adviser was in cahoots with Russia to undermine the US government's effort to punish Moscow for hacking the US election—and he apparently lied about it. If Trump does not fire him—and if Washington's political-media complex (including Republicans) does not go ballistic over this revelation—then the Putinization of America has taken another big step forward.

On Thursday night, after a long and wild day of Trump news (Trump attacking Sen. John McCain, Kellyanne Conway seemingly breaking the law, an appeals court ruling against Trump's Muslim travel ban, and much more), the Washington Post dropped a bomb: a thoroughly reported article with the headline "National security adviser Flynn discussed sanctions with Russian ambassador, despite denials, officials say." It began:

Here is a link to an article explaining some of the backstory of the Russian hacking and Trump's ties:

http://www.theweeklings.com/golear/2017/01/24/dah-donald-russian-blood-money-and-the-fbis-case-against-trump/

In addition to all the financial ties and political collusion to rig the 2016 election, there is a darker and more sinister political alliance between the Trump Administration and Putin's Russia. Steve Bannon's political theories and motivations derive from the idea of 4th and 5th column geo-politics, developed by Putin's top political strategist, Alexander Dugin. For those of you unfamiliar with Dugin, you should read up on him if you really want to understand what Bannon is doing and what we're up against. Here is a thread from another post that covers the basics:

Well, power but since he's being described as not very bright it looks more like he's been turned by the Ruskies. They probably have some pretty powerful techniques. Stuff of spy novels.

But if the Russians had turned him years ago and he got scared when President Obama started kicking out known spies his reaction is just what a mole might do when he is about to make a run for it.

Flyin is saying he called about the sanctions, but he may have called to see if he needed to run. Saying he talked about the sactions seems a little convient. But maybe he had some other profitable deal going and that was his motivation for calling so urgently after President Obama's expelling of the Russian diplomats.

Having it be Flynn makes sense, in retrospect, but I still think it fits Bannon pretty well, too.

They wanted someone to shake things up. And that is what they see on the news every day. Someone who is leading, making strong decisions where even long time establishment Republicans, and judges, and of course every Democrat is appalled and upset. They love the shock and awe of the 'lame stream media'. It means he's doing something right. Without even digesting exactly what he is doing or how anything he does may affect their own lives.

So this kind of "bombshell" means nothing to them.

I could see maybe they don't care because they like everything else Trump is doing, or think they do, but I don't see how this is possibly good for Trump.

And his take no prisoners (well except for protesters) approach in regards to other issues and appointments. Basically whatever makes Democrats angry is a good thing.

So that any story like this is dismissed as yet more 'fake news' or is a smear on his plans to ally with Russia to finally defeat once and for all terrorism in the world, and make America safe from the foreign brown man forever.

The majority of Drumpf voters - along with the people who didn't vote for anyone - are disassociated with the system of government, not to mention the rest of the world.
They don't have a clue what a national government means.
These "citizens" just go through their local lives that consist of them having to leave home and do somethingelse they don't really want to, because someone in government:
tells the citizen they need to do something to get compensation they need or because of some regulation that benefits people they don't know;
tells them how much money those citizens have to give up either for the products and services that make them comfortable, in taxes, or because "they have to pay for this" when it seems a no brainer that whatever "it" is is totally unnecessary or it should be free - or because the citizen thinks a bunch of people they don't know are apparently too lazy to do the basics themselves and are looking for handouts;
and yet another group of people apparently magically provides public services for them whether they want them or not.
Not to mention all those someones who blather at them on the radio or the TV about those corrupt politicians that no one seems to have voted for, but got in office anyway.

It's all a weak TV script to these citizens who voted for Drumpf or didn't vote at all. They just want it to go away so they can live their own lives. So they say to themselves "yah, why not just blow it all up. And change the channel to something I like better."

Get used this, folks. This is what is in store for us until the day Trump is either impeached or he resigns. At that time a whole new set of atrocities will start to unfold. This is not going to be pretty.

We were SO spoiled by the last 8 years! This is such a shock to the system.
