"I accidentally bought a GIANT PIG!"

Last edited Fri Feb 10, 2017, 03:26 PM - Edit history (1)

"I was told she was six months old, had come from a breeder and wouldn’t grow any bigger than a very large cat."

She is now 600 pounds! and is a trained house pet.
Ester, is all the rave on social media.

Here is the article with great pictures!

but yeah, seriously. I don't know how anyone could get one of those and not think it would get to be pig-like size!

My daughters friend got one ($600!!!shessh) and it was so cute! But she had to get rid of it because it got so big. I think she said they told her not to feed it much! But how could you starve something just to keep it small!

(at the base of this is a good example for why we do indeed need regulation!)

....because they allegedly only grew to 45 pounds. I was the wetblanket naysayer who read the newspaper and knew they were already such a problem that 300 pound pigs were turning up abandoned and there were already 2 rescue farms, one called Little Orphan Hammie.

So the little farm at the preschool was gifted with 2 piglets who grew and grew and grew.

Personally, I believe that the reason pigs in Vietnamese villages don't grow to their full potential is that they have to scavange for scraps but mostly they just get eaten by humans at 50 pounds or under.

She's feeding a liger raw meat and those two buffoons are standing 4 feet away. That big momma feels like her food is threatened in the least, and they become dinner.

I've cut out all other animals too...I did it in steps....I wish I could do dairy but I substitute as much as I can and I've cut back.

If I can give up bacon and pepperoni I'm convinced anyone who wants to can.

... it's not a big stretch to eat your human neighbors.

Wild hogs are the most dangerous creatures in the California wilderness. Some of them are porcine, some of them are human.

Just like Orwell's Animal Farm.

I have always loved pigs, and wish I could have one. But I'm sure some idiot in our subdivision would complain, and I could not handle having to give it up.
