Donald Trump just lost, bigly

President Trump has been on an 18-month winning streak. That streak ended Thursday night when a federal appeals court upheld a lower-court ruling lifting Trump's travel ban on refugees and all visitors from seven predominantly Muslim states.

“The Government has taken the position that the President’s decisions about immigration policy, particularly when motivated by national security concerns, are unreviewable, even if those actions potentially contravene constitutional rights and protections,” read the unanimous ruling of the three judges. “There is no precedent to support this claimed unreviewability, which runs contrary to the fundamental structure of our constitutional democracy.”

Trump, as is his way, reacted angrily via Twitter:

The government will probably ask the Supreme Court to intervene in the travel ban.

But, all caps aside, this is a major setback for not only one of Trump's signature campaign promises but also for his conception of a presidency with nearly unlimited power.

Unfortunately, this is only one win. He has over a dozen orders that are as bad as the one the court reversed.

- DOJ directives reversing all of Obama's executive orders during his entire presidency.
- Directing Treasury to revers Dodd-Frank
- Abolish two directive for every new directive an agency makes
- Restructure NSC and Homeland Security
- Create plan to kill ISIL (He calls it ISIS) in 30 days
- Bans all administration officials from lobbying for five years, some for life
- Authorized border wall
- Stripped federal money from sanctuary cities
- Pushed Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipeline construction past the point of being stopped
- Expedite all environmental protection impact studies for everything
- Ban on federal funds for international groups to peform abortions
- Withdrawing from TPP
- Withdrawing from Paris Environmental Treaty accord
- Hiring freeze on all federal agencies
- Process to start privatizing the Affordable Care Act (making it the Unaffordable, no-care Act)

We need to get the ACLU in gear on EVERY ONE of these acts!

I dont say that as sarcasm or snark.

He knew nothing about our system of government, nothing. He now knows nothing still because he isnt capable of learning anything.

He will look at his attorney with a quizzical look and say "but I am president and I said so"

No matter what the attorney says back to him, he wont understand. He really does know nothing about anything.

what he doesn't get is that he's not dictator. Or even the equivalent of CEO, which is what he's used to. He hasn't a clue how democracy works, as you pointed out, and it's clear he has never read the Constitution. Probably most of his advisors haven't read it, either.
