Just how much trouble is Michael Flynn in?

On Wednesday, national security adviser Michael Flynn told The Washington Post that he and Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak had never discussed the sanctions put in place by the Obama administration in a series of communications in December 2016.
On Thursday, Flynn told The Post — through a spokesman! — that, well, who could say what he and Kislyak talked about.

Flynn “indicated that while he had no recollection of discussing sanctions, he couldn’t be certain that the topic never came up,” the spokesman said.

That's, um, bad. It strains credulity that on Wednesday, Flynn could issue a flat denial about conversations he had with Kislyak, but on Thursday, suddenly his memory of those conversations changed.

It also runs counter to the version of events that Flynn as well as then-Vice President-elect Mike Pence and several other senior Trump officials put out in the wake of the revelations that Flynn and Kisylak had been in contact, even as an investigation by the Obama administration was concluding that Russian hackers had interfered with the U.S. election process for the express purpose of hurting Hillary Clinton and helping Trump.

In fact, I don't really care that much if Flynn himself gets fired, unless Pence at minimum goes down with him. The public will only notice if Pence or Donnie gets in trouble. Otherwise, it's a nonstory to everyone except those of us paying close attention.

Tinkle Bell can't afford to throw Flynn overboard. He needs his loyalty to protect himself. Ergo, I don't think Flynn will be going anywhere nor do I believe the Republicans will initiate an investigation.

"I knew he was really smart," about waiting to retaliate. Once rump got swore in he would take the sanctions off. He's talked about doing just that. Maybe Snowden will be rumps excuse to remove sanctions. I really don't think that will go down well with either party. Now Putin wants his payback. Offering Snowden to rump to torture. I bet he is a sadist.

Even IF the now compromised FBI charges him and convicts him, which they won't, the Orangutang will simply pardon him.

In fact I think we will see more patsies ordered to do some illegal act for the fatherland with assurances of complete acquittal all through his term.

15. This is about way more than Flynn talking to the Russian ambassadore.

The bigger issue is that there were communications between Flynn and the Russians during the campaign. This took place months before the late December calls. So the much bigger issue is was there collusion between the Russians and the tRump campaign. Who knew what and when did they know it? This could involve many more people than just Flynn. He talked to Pence and Preibus who pretty much vouched for him that there was no discussion of sanctions. So their asses are on the line. Who else will be swept up in this web of lies??

There are 9 people who gave statements on this issue and said that it is routine for calls to diplomats be monitored. So somebody somewhere has records of these calls. They most likely already have a good idea how far this goes. They (the tRump campaign) were pretty dumb not to know the calls were monitored, especially given Flynn's military background. But apparently that is what happened.

So this could be huge, in an earth shattering sort of way. What if tRump,Pence, Flynn, Preibus, Spicer...Kellyanne, etc. on and on know even SOME of the details? We have a serious Constitutional crisis brewing. How much longer before it blows wide open??

Rachel Maddow covered this tonight and admitted that her hair can catch fire over stories like this. But what if it is true? It changes everything. EVERYTHING.
