Eagle after eagle swooped into the water for a fish dinner, and Michael Cerizo followed every move with his camera.
He makes his living doing portraits, but the lure of the birds increasingly draws him outside.
As the sun began to set Wednesday, he watched as a bald eagle snatched a fish out of Lake Manawa, only to drop it after three others swarmed.
They often do that where they go for anothers food, he said.

Eagle numbers have risen here in recent years and there are many nests.
It's Eagle lovin' season now in PA. Hopefully those nests will be full of wee little eaglets soon.

They find lots of small dog and cat collars in the eagles nests here in Michigan.

Makes me wonder if bald eagles were seen as often in Nebraska before all the sandpits were dug and reservoirs built. Of course the Platte has been there for millennia, so maybe they migrated there in the winter before too. Just thinking aloud.
